my my... where do I start...

it seems like everyone is excited about all the new places to visit and all the new things to do ever since the Federation of Windurst opened the port in Maura allowing adventurers to visit "the silent empire", the Empire of Aht Urhgan.

I'm particularly excited about the new job, puppetmaster, and my awesome aotomaton's name is Mao!


big old Galka wouldn't hurry up and work on Mao...

so far I've discovered that PUP is very strong. I was in a few horrible PTs when I was leveling in dunes, there were countless times when my entire PT got wiped out, except Mao and I, both with 80+% HP. when things looked bad, all I needed to do was to switch on Earth Maneuver (Stoneskin) and Mao would just tank and we quickly beat the mob that has just defeated everyone else.

PT members started to give us weird looks after a while though... but hey what can I do? they were (Too weak), and Mao doesn't even have the tank frame!



I'm currently gathering materials needed to upgrade Mao to the ranger frame, and thanks to Stru, Tee, Wai, Nor, & Sy, I got a piece of Karakul skin! now I just gotta bug Shoyapkyuyapkyu to turn that into leather for me, and I'll have one of the pieces needed to build the ranger frame.

still no luck on the Karakul cloth tho... ; ; the clothcraft guild shop is so heavily camped, and the thread is always sold out the moment the shop is opened. I have camped it many times now and so far no dice. ; ; and the bad news is, I need 3 of them in order to make 1 cloth!!!

anyway... Taroh and I were just taking a walk in the new town, talking to random people, and guess who we saw!?!? an imposter!

helloooooooooooooo people!

that's right! it's time for another once-in-a-long-while-but-man-isn't-it-so-fun-to-read blog entry from yours turely kekeke. ^^

truth is, there's still so much to do in RL and it's taking away most of my time. for the past few months I could only get back to Vana'diel for a short time - take Epilleve out for a bit, chat with LS buddies for a bit, dispense some ginger cookies, then back to Earth...

so much to do (in Vana'diel), so little time!!! >.<

the other day I met up with Wai, who's also very busy lately, and we spent a little bit of time chatting while watching airships come and go at Port Jeuno. it's always fun catching up on stuff with friends once in a while. although our busy schedules didn't allow us to do that for long... ; ;

I was chatting on LS talking about random stuff. Twinfara popped, and she was very kind and offered to lend me her Hamburger since she won't be using it for a little while... but you know what I think though? I think I look better wearing it than she does anyway!!! kekekeke thank you sooooooo much Twinfara!!! ^^


V Cloak, Hamburger, & Sukoha...

oh oh oh... you guys wanna hear about something crazy?

so I was just window shopping at Auction House in Ru'Lude Gardens last week, browsing through armors and weapons that look good and match with each other and stuff. all the sudden I got a random /tell with an EXP PT invite at Uleguerand Range. I thought "why not?" and went with them. turned out, it was one of the best EXP PTs I've had. the PT only lasted a short time, around 2 hours. but we got more than 2o,ooo EXP in that time. we were doing EXP chain #7 constantly, and one time we got to chain #10!

#10!!! isn't that crazy!?!?!?


I killed it too! kekeke...

the PT setup was 4 DDs (NIN WAR SAM DRG), 1 RDM, and 1 BRD. I out-damaged everyone and I dealt 9oo+ damage a few times with Rampage! we were fighting nothing but raptors, and we were killing them at an incredible speed. the BRD would pull 1 or 2 raptors next to camp for "standby" so we can kill those as soon as we're done with the current one. ^^;

we thought it was quite amazing when we hit chain #9, and I took a pic already... but who knew... ^^;;;

aside from that, I also got more than 12 stacks of fire crystals, 4 BSs, & 3 KSs! I guess most of their inventory were full so items all went to me...

I got an EXP PT again tonight, but this time it was a bit slow. We spotted Ose though! Stru, Tee, Radi, & Scrum came quickly after I relayed the news, got claim, and defeated him! too bad no drop...

but thanks to their presence, they found the Treasure Chest (thank you thank you!) and I was able to obtain map of Labyrinth of Onzozo from it! also I still managed to get to lv65 too albeit in a slow PT! so all in all it was a good night. ^^

now I just need to do 限界 4 and I should be on my way!!!

kk everyone... this concludes the update on my recent adventures in Vana'diel. it's already 5:30am and I'm soooo very sleepy-weepy. ^^;

last night I turned NIN37 and I'm 1/3 done with my "Project Capped Sub" for my WAR... now I just need to work on my THF35 and SAM35 a little bit more and I'm all done. ^^

the other day I was shopping for 遁甲の術:弐 and guess what? it was only 2,ooo gil!!! I never expected it to be that affordable... it's cheaper than a chocobo ride at times!

and of course, it's time for some BCNM runs so I can get 空蝉の術:弐 for NIN too. ^^ the thing is, I think I've been saying that I need to do BCNM runs for about a year now and I still haven't done it... I have a combined sum of about 5oo seals on Sun, Wuyaya, and Nogard already... ^^;

anyway... here goes the update of my recent adventures.

altho I wasn't planning or anticipating any of it, this week turned out to be a busy week for me. first of all, I did 2 avatar fights! these are my very first avatar fights and they were very exciting for me.


the 1st one was Leviathan. attendees include Mela, Norris, Syrous, Beja, and I. getting there wasn't that bad except for a couple of small hic-ups. Beja died on his way there, and Syrous died while fighting Leviathan Prime... ; ; thanks to Norris's raise III, everyone came back home happy. ^^


a few days later, Mela, Stru, Tee, Judu, Taroh, and I went to fight Shiva and victory was ours again! ^^ altho Taroh died during the fight, he was brought back to life almost immediately due to Stru's awesome (or horrible? kekeke) singing. ^^

the other day I was catching an airship to San d'Oria. I was standing there, minding my own business, and trying to see if I can fish up 10 gil or maybe 100 gil... and suddenly guess who showed up? it was Mundus! but then it's not our old friend big Galka fiance-of-Waichan Mundus, it was an Elvaan lady with the same name! I did a double take on the person wishing it was actually a Galka but of course, it wasn't... I felt sad at that moment and forgot why I was heading San d'Oria. So I got off the airship before it took off, and back to Jeuno for more auction house window shopping goodness...

I miss Mundus a lot and hate remembering that he's gone... ; ;


this is a photo we took waaaaaay back when Kitty was still a WHM60+ (or WHM50+?) with Mundus helping me with samurai quest. at the time I was a full time THF30+ and wasn't considering doing WAR at all hahaha...

good times... ^^


ah and here's a pic of Cubee next to flowers at a cliff of Qufim Island, when she and I went for her BST quest. will Cubee be SYN's 2nd walking stuffed animal!?!? I can't wait! and watchout Suzukoz!!!

as far as my own progress goes, I'm now close to WAR64 now... my NIN was only lv31, and yesterday I was trying to level up my NIN so it wouldn't be under-leveled for my WAR's sub. and guess what? I'm now just 1,ooo EXP shy from being NIN35!!! ^^

(oh yea gotta buy 遁甲の術:弐 now...)

I've also been fishing lately. last week I got about 10 stacks of nebimonites from all my fishing trips on the ship! and that translates to about 30-40 stacks of black ink given Waichan's awesome HQ rate!!! not too shabby I'd say... ^^

but not the original Waichan tho... the mastermind behind new (fake) Wai is still a RL friend of ours (Taroh, Cubee, Kitty, and I), and used to watch over old Wai's shoulders when she was exploring Vana'diel with us. so I guess not completely new/fake kekeke...

back to adventures! (sort of)

Taroh and I PT'd at Labyrinth of Onzozo last night. this was the very 1st time I level with Taroh's THF, and I must say he was a super-uber THF! maybe the lowered expectation by the image of a taru melee had an effect on me, but Taroh was running around pulling mobs fast, dealing awesome damage, and helped lots with aggro control. we hit EXP chain #5 numerous times last night, and it was a blast! ^^

Taroh is indeed an (Incredibly Tough) (Thief)!

you know what I just realized right now? like "orz", I think they named it "Labyrinth of Onzozo" becos there're lots of scorpions there that looks like "Onzozo", so it's in fact "Labyrinth of Scorpions"!

or am I just silly?

on second thought, "Onzozo" looks more like a centipede... >.<

we've been trying to level together, and we all hit lv10 the other day! it's time to get to the (dreaded) Valkurm Dunes!!!

our current roles are:

Taroh as PLD10
Cubee as BRD10 (you should hear her POWER songs!)
Kimimi as RDM10
Sun as SMN10

clearly there's a shortage of melee in our group, but that's usually very easily solved when you're in the dunes. WARs are a dime a dozen over there... oh but but... if any of you guys have a lv10-ish melee job please let us know, so we can form a SYN lowbie PT! wouldn't that be so fun?
